Lithuanian Biotechnology Association (LBTA) is a legal entity established in 2003 on the basis of Lithuanian Society of Biotechnologists. Currently LBTA has 17 legal entities (companies such as ThermoFisherScientific, Sicor Biotech, Amilina, Bioenergy, etc.); institutions such as Vilnius university, Kaunas University of Technology, Klaipėda University, etc.) and 60 personal members.

Life Sciences Pennsylvania was founded in 1989 by a biotech scientist at Penn State University.  Today it has grown to represent the entire life sciences industry – medical device companies, pharmaceutical companies, investment organizations, research institutions, and myriad service industries that support the life sciences in Pennsylvania.
